The Croatian radio program 3ZZZ once again supported an important event in our community here in Melbourne. As media sponsor and supporter of the Croatian World Games (CWG) to be held in Zagreb in 2014, the radio program actively supports the promotional activities organised by Mr. Ante Radić, Team Australia co-ordinator of the Croatian World Games .
Regular reporting of the games and developments has become a regular feature on the radio programs and on Sunday, 15 December, 2013 Mr. Radić was pleasantly surprised when given a donation of $1,000.00 from the co-ordinators of Croatian Projects Mr. Nikola Vidaić and Stef Galović during the shows broadcast on Sunday evening.
Croatian Projects is a regular supporter of many notable activities and projects within the Croatian community in Australia and in Croatia. This donation is intended to help organise Team Australia for Zagreb in 2014. Mr. Radić thanked Croatian Projects for their valued donation and said this donation will help with the initial costs in promoting the games amongst younger Croats in Australia.
Mr. Radić also encouraged other community organisations, clubs and the wider Croatian business leaders to consider the benefits in sending young Croatians to the games in Zagreb and appealed for their financial support in promoting these games in Zagreb. The Croatian program will continue to support the Croatian World Games and we plan to report on the games direct and live from Zagreb in 2014.
The Sunday evening program was also a happy occasion as we drew the winners of the Radiothon 2013 prizes throughout the program. In all, nine prizes were given away and on this occasion the Croatian radio program committee would like to thank the following members of the Croatian business community for their support:
