Around 7:30 pm, as the program drew to a close, the attendees were promptly served dinner by the dedicated and exceptional Hrvatska Zora staff. The presence of Vlć Velimir Maglica, who graciously attended the event, added a touch of honour to the celebration. The night took an unforgettable turn as long-time friends and supporters, Major Minor, took the stage and ignited the dance floor with their energetic music. The atmosphere was electric, making it a night that will forever be etched in the memories of those in attendance. The overwhelming support from guests, groups, members, parents, families, friends, and the community was heart-warming. It was a testament to the unity and strength of the folklore community, demonstrating the profound impact it has on bringing people together.

As a token of appreciation to the attendees, an amazing raffle was organized, featuring exciting children’s prizes. The success of the raffle was made possible by the generous donations from various contributors, including the HZ Committee, HFA Zvonimir Springvale, HKUD Lado Geelong, FG Mladi Hrvati Clifton Hill, and the North Geelong Warriors. Their support played a crucial role in making the raffle a memorable experience for all participants.

The raffle’s “Last Man Standing” winners added an extra dose of excitement to the evening. Nicholas Seol walked away with an impressive $3,000 prize, while Strathmore emerged as the winner of a $1,500 reward, generously donating $500 of their winnings back to F.A. Hrvatska Zora. Robert Pavlić was also recognised for his achievement, winning $500.

F.A. Hrvatska Zora would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to St. Albans Saints Dinamo, Melbourne Croatia, and Strathmore Split for their unwavering support. Their continued commitment to the folklore community has been instrumental in fostering its growth and success. A special mention and thanks to Mr Robert Å poljar who did an amazing job as MC for the evening.

The 30th Anniversary Children’s Zabava was a resounding triumph, celebrating the rich heritage and cultural diversity of Croatia. The event brought together not only the performers and attendees but also generations of folklore enthusiasts. It served as a reminder of the importance of preserving and cherishing cultural traditions, ensuring that future generations can continue to revel in the beauty of folklore and its profound impact.

F.A. Hrvatska Zora looks forward to many more years of success, unity, and joyous celebrations. With the continued support of the community, they are determined to keep the flame of folklore burning brightly, creating memorable experiences and sharing the richness of Croatian culture with all who embrace it.

As the curtains closed on the 30th Anniversary Children’s Zabava, the organizers couldn’t help but bask in the joy and fulfillment that such an event brings. The smiles on the faces of performers, families, and friends served as a testament to the enduring power of folklore and the sense of belonging it instils. With hearts full of gratitude, F.A. Hrvatska Zora extends their sincerest appreciation to everyone who made this milestone celebration an extraordinary success. Here’s to another 30 years of shared laughter, vibrant performances, and cherished memories.

We would like to remind you that the grand gala evening celebrating the 30th anniversary is planned for September 9, 2023, so stay tuned for more details.
