Gold Coast Knights continued their impressive start to the season with a second consecutive win, defeating Wynnum Wolves 2-0 at Carmichael Park last Saturday evening 1st of March. It was the Max Brown show as the in-form striker netted twice to secure all three points for the Knights.
Brown has now scored an impressive three goals in just two matches this season. His first goal came at a crucial moment, just before halftime in the 44th minute. Brown executed a brilliant free kick that curled beautifully into the top right corner, leaving the Wolves goalkeeper with no chance and giving the Knights a 1-0 lead at the break. Brown sealed the victory late in the second half, scoring his second goal just before the final whistle to make it 2-0 and ensure the Knights maintained their perfect start to the season with another road victory.
The Gold Coast Knights will look to continue their winning streak when they return home this Friday, March 7th, hosting St George Willawong at their home ground. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:30 PM.
