DPH Perth Brings Fans Together for Night of Football and Friendship
Društvo prijatelja Hajduka (DPH) Perth, on 3rd May hosted an unforgettable evening of football and fellowship on Saturday night at the ‘Croatian House Inc.’ in Gwelup.
The event brought together devoted Hajduk Split fans from across the Perth metropolitan area — from Fremantle to Midland and Clarkson — united in their love for the iconic Croatian football club.

The gathering began at 6:30 pm in the main hall, where DPH Perth member Denis Sango welcomed attendees and thanked them for their continued support. He also highlighted a special raffle featuring a major prize — a framed and autographed jersey of Hajduk Split star Marko Livaja — generating great excitement among the crowd.

Following the opening remarks, guests were treated to a delicious and hearty dinner, which was well received and enjoyed by all in attendance. The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with anticipation for the evening’s main event.

At 10:00 pm local time, the live broadcast of the highly anticipated HNL derby between Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb was shown on the big screen. Fans cheered passionately, waving scarves and singing in support of Hajduk, creating a lively and electric environment.
Despite the passionate backing, Hajduk Split fell short on the night, with Dinamo Zagreb securing a 3-1 victory. Though the result was not in Hajduk’s favour, the spirit of camaraderie and pride remained strong throughout the evening.
The event once again demonstrated the dedication and unity of the Croatian community in Perth, celebrating their heritage and love of football together in true Hajduk style.
