After a rollercoaster of a season resulting in Rijeka’s thrilling title triumph on Sunday night the spotlight shifted to Zagreb’s Mozaik Event Centre, where players gathered to celebrate their standout performances in the SuperSport HNL awards night.
Rijeka secured the trophy on the final day of the season, just narrowly beating Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb in an intense three-way battle in Prva HNL.
As one of the most dramatic seasons came to an end, the SuperSport HNL league’s top players gathered for a final night of celebration.
Croatian Football Federation (HNS) president Marijan Kustić addressed the gathering, having delivered the championship trophy to Rijeka by helicopter just the night before.
He said,
“I’m confident the league will only keep growing, and I expect a fantastic atmosphere in the upcoming Cup final as well. Tonight, we celebrate. We’ve seen some incredible goals and saves all season long.”
Award Winners
Hajduk’s captain and star forward Marko Livaja, had the honour of being named the Player of the Season, showcasing his talent in the prestigious SuperSport HNL.
In his absence, teammate Filip Uremović stated “Marko is a unique personality and player, a great guy and an even better footballer.”

Rijeka manager Radomir Đalović received the Best Coaches Award after leading the club to their first league title since 2017 in SuperSport HNL Awards.
“This is first and foremost, an award for my players. It’s their achievement.” Đalović said, before gearing the players up for the Croatian Cup final against Slaven Belupo on Thursday night.

Lead by his guidance, Rijeka’s Toni Fruk was named Young Player of the Year in SuperSport HNL.
Fruk said, “I’ve set the bar high for myself and want to keep getting better. This has definitely been the best season of my career so far.”

Rijeka’s Martin Zlomislić took home the Best Goalkeeper Award, thanking his teammates, coaches and club president.

Marko Livaja won the Goal of the Season award for his impressive bicycle kick against Šibenik.
He also won Top Goal Scorer with 19 Goals in the SuperSport HNL Awards.
Osijek’s goalkeeper Marko Malenica was awarded Save of the Season for his heroic stop against Hajduk at Poljud.

To conclude the SuperSport HNL evening, the hosts announced the team of the season, recognising:
