It is particularly popular in countries like Australia where Christmas falls during the summer. It’s a way to enjoy a more traditional, winter-themed Christmas celebration during the colder months of July.
This special tradition brings warmth to winter days. Christmas in July is a unique practice born from longing for a “proper” Christmas atmosphere with snow and cold, as known from the homeland.
HFG Mladi Frankopani Invite You to an Unforgettable Celebration
The Croatian Folk Group Mladi Frankopani from Sydney has been organising this special event since 2014., and it has become an essential part of the Croatian community’s cultural calendar. This year, they have prepared something even more special. Their traditional Christmas in July celebration will be held on 5th July 2025 at the Croatian Club Bosna in St Marys.
Rich Programme for All Generations
The organisers have prepared a diverse programme that will delight all ages. The heart of the evening will feature an authentic folk programme. The dance portion of the celebration will be handled by Sto na Sat group, known for their energetic performances.
For the youngest members of the community, a special surprise is being prepared. We won’t reveal what it is, so book your seats and come see for yourself!

Given the great interest this event traditionally generates, organisers recommend booking seats in advance. Every year the Croatian Club Bosnia packs in more than 250 people!
The event represents a perfect opportunity for socialising, preserving tradition, and creating new memories in a warm atmosphere of togetherness.
