Honouring the Past, Shaping the Future: Croatian History Festival Adelaide 2025

As preparations continue for the Croatian History Festival Adelaide 2025, the excitement and momentum are steadily building. The festival promises a rich program of activities aimed at celebrating, preserving, and sharing the stories of Croatian Australians—stories of migration, resilience, community, and identity.

Branimir Šprajcer, on behalf of the Festival Steering Committee and the Croatian History Group South Australia, expressed heartfelt thanks to the many volunteers whose efforts have made the launch of the official festival website possible. He also extended gratitude to those who contributed to the successful Gala Night and various exhibitions that have already laid a strong foundation for what’s to come.

Special thanks were given to contributors, writers, and volunteers working diligently behind the scenes on numerous projects that are still in development. “We are especially grateful to those who have shared historical materials,” said Šprajcer. “These personal and community archives are vital to telling the story of Croatians in South Australia.”

The Croatian Community Council of South Australia, on behalf of the festival, gratefully acknowledges generous grant support from the History Trust of South Australia, as well as two grants from the Republic of Croatia’s Central State Office for Croats Abroad, enabling a diverse range of festival initiatives.

During 2025, the community is encouraged to stay connected and keep an eye out for upcoming announcements—including the unveiling of the History Group’s new logo, now proudly featured on the festival website.
