Croatia Airlines Reveals New Winter Routes

Croatia Airlines is taking major steps to be less dependent on the summer season and enhance air connectivity throughout the year.

They have announced the expansion of their flight schedule by 7.7% for the upcoming 2025/26 winter season, running from 26 October 2025 to 28 March 2026.

The national carrier will introduce new year-round routes and increase flight frequencies to key European destinations. A 21% rise in capacity compared to the previous winter, it now offers greater flexibility for travellers.

Routes from Zagreb

Beginning on October 26, 2025, Croatia Airlines will upgrade its previously seasonal services to year-round operations.  

Zagreb to Barcelona and Zagreb to Berlin, will now operate through the winter, with three weekly flights each.

Zagreb to Stockholm, will also continue into the early winter months, with three weekly flights until January 9, 2026.

The changes reflect Croatia Airline’s commitment to strengthening Zagreb’s access to major European cities and acting as a hub for regional travel.

Access via the coast

In addition to expanding Zagreb’s network, the airline will expand the route from Split to Istanbul, operating twice a week, year-round.

They will also operate flights from Dubrovnik to Frankfurt, three times a week and Dubrovnik to Rome, twice a week.

This has been introduced in hopes to grow tourism along Croatia’s Adriatic coast year-round.

Meanwhile, both domestic and international passengers can look forward to improved connections between coastal and inland Croatia during the off-peak months.

Flights from Zagreb to Split, Dubrovnik, Pula and Zadar, are also to be expanded.

Connectivity via Germany

Additionally, the airline will continue to operate connections from Munich to Rijeka, Osijek, and Zadar. Further improving connectivity between continental and coastal Croatia during the off-season.

The introduction of the new Airbus A220 aircraft has already begun. The largest fleet renewal in company history is attempting to improve passenger comfort and operational efficiency.

According to Croatia Airlines, the additional flights are part of a broader long-term strategy to address the challenges of seasonal travel demand, improve connectivity for Croatian citizens and make the country more accessible to visitors outside the peak summer season.
