January 26th was a day for an unforgettable gathering of car and motorcycle enthusiasts in celebration of Australia Day, and organizers Luka and Danny Šarić prepared a true spectacle. More than 350 cars and motorcycles gathered at this special event, now a traditional ‘Australia Day Cruise’ in the Croatian community, with the participation of many car clubs such as Bell Park Performance, Cro Cruisers, and Yashi.

The event began in the morning with breakfast at the Croatian House in Geelong, where all visitors could enjoy the impressive collection of vehicles. It was beautiful to see such a large number of Croats, as well as Australians and people of other nationalities, who came to celebrate this event, all proudly holding Australian flags.

Around 11 AM, the group started driving towards St Leonards Hotel, where an even larger group of cars and motorcycles gathered. Although the cloudy morning hinted at rain, the sun quickly shone through and warmed us, and everyone enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere. More importantly, all participants had a problem-free day—no vehicle breakdowns.

“On behalf of AHD Geelong, I would like to thank everyone who came and supported the event, celebrating this great day in Australia with us,” said Luka Šarić.

“It was fantastic to see even greater participation than last year, with a total of 350 cars parked all around the hall, in the schoolyard and along the side streets. We hope this tradition will continue to live on for future generations,” added Danny Šarić.

Along with Geelong Street Rodders and SoCo Customs Car Club, the event attracted many other car clubs, making this gathering even more special. More than 350 cars and motorcycles were present, and everyone returned home with a smile on their face, already eagerly awaiting the next Australia Day Cruise.
