Tonċi Prusac: The Croatian Folkloric Arts Festival 2025 after party ‘zabava’ is officially a sellout, it was announced this week.

According to organisers of the event, which will be held at the Croatian Catholic Centre in Sunshine on the Saturday of the upcoming Kings’ Birthday long weekend, tickets for this Croatian folkloric celebration were snapped up in record time. It’s an exciting time for the Croatian folkloric enthusiasts, as close to 1,000 people secured a spot.

“When we began organising this event last year, we always knew it was going to be huge,” event organisers said in a Social media post this week. This pride in our Croatian folkloric heritage shines through as a key focus of the festival.

“We have 10 groups in total with over 340 performers coming together in one place. They will enjoy a weekend celebrating all things folklore. Additionally, they will express our love for this Croatian folkloric tradition we uphold,” continued the statement.

Concert followed by after party

According to event organisers, both the actual Concert and Zabava After Party were booked at venues with the biggest capacities possible. “We initially opened the bookings to the groups participating first. This ensured they were able to secure tickets for both. Reflecting the popularity of Croatian folkloric arts, our Zabava After Party has already sold out. Yes, you read that right, it is SOLD OUT. All 90 tables booked!”

Event organisers have opened a waiting list for bookings. This will be on the basis that there is a cancellation from the current bookings.

“We understand that there were many others interested in coming. Though we just don’t have the room to add any further tables. We apologise to you all. We did say this was going to be HUGE! Thank you all for your understanding and support,” concluded the statement by the organisers of this Croatian Folkloric Arts Festival 2025.
