The Wait is Over! The Croatian Cultural Society of NZ’s famous Lamb on the Spit dinners are back for one final feast before winter. This Sunday, 25th May, the clubrooms at 161 McLeod Rd, Te Atatu will be filled with the mouthwatering aroma of slow-roasted lamb, Croatian hospitality, and lively community spirit from the Croatian-New Zealand community.

A Tradition Worth Savouring

The Society’s Lamb on the Spit nights have been a highlight for Auckland’s Croatian community and food enthusiasts alike. Prepared by skilled volunteer chefs, the tender, flavourful lamb is a testament to time-honoured cooking methods—slow-turned over an open flame for hours, ensuring every bite is juicy and packed with smoky goodness inspired by Croatian New Zealand traditions.

At just $25 per plate, it’s one of the best-value dinners in town! Bring a dessert to share, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a memorable evening.

A plate to share for dessert would be appreciated!

Final Feast Before Winter Break

This Sunday’s dinner is your last chance to enjoy this beloved event before the Society takes its three-month winter hiatus. The club will reopen for lamb feasts in August, so don’t miss out! The fun starts early—doors open at 1pm, so come down for:
– Buće & Briškula
– Playground for kids
– Socialising with friends old and new from the Croatian New Zealand community.

At 4pm, the Society will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM), where members can have their say on the club’s future (if you would like, come along to that). Then, at 6pm, the star of the show—the lamb—takes centre stage.

Book Now – Don’t Miss Out!

With only 275 tickets available, pre-booking is essential. Secure your spot by Thursday, 23rd May via Trybooking website:www.trybooking.co.nz/PBW
