“My Croatia – An Exhibition of Artworks by Students of Croatian Classes Abroad”
Croatian Heritage Foundation (Hrvatska matica iseljenika) invites teachers and students to take part in the art competition. This event is titled “My Croatia – An Exhibition of Artworks by Students of Croatian Classes Abroad.”
Aim and Programme of the Exhibition
The aim of the exhibition “My Croatia” is to promote the creativity and artistic expression of children and young people attending Croatian classes abroad. It strives to foster a sense of belonging to the homeland. Furthermore, it intends to strengthen the ties between the Croatian diaspora and the homeland through the artistic perception of Croatia as seen by children.

The exhibition will be opened at the premises of Croatian Heritage Foundation on 2 July 2025. It will be accessible for students visiting Croatia during their summer holidays. Additionally, it will be open to their families and all interested visitors.
The most successful works will be published in the Matica magazine, and all participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Participation
All students attending Croatian classes abroad – from preschool to secondary school – are eligible to participate, regardless of the country they live in.

Eligible students: from preschool age to high school
Art technique: watercolours / tempera + felt-tip pens
Paper size: minimum A4
Deadline for submission: by 23 June 2025
Exhibition opening: 2 July 2025 at the Croatian Heritage Foundation, with award presentations and certificates!
Top artworks will be published in the Matica magazine. Students can win valuable prizes!
